Dancing with the Stars - Gala Benefit for Wilcox Health Foundation

“Dancing with the Stars,” a gala benefit for the Wilcox Health Foundation, is presented by The Michele Hughes Company, Hawaii Pacific X-ray Corp, and Hobey & Nancy Goodale. The entertainment is a dance competition sponsored by Kuhio Motors and Mel & Pauline Ventura. Our doctors who will be dancing with experts from our Kauai community and the audience gets to vote for the winning dance couple. You won’t want to miss the fun!

The event starts at the Kauai Marriott Resort & Beach Club, Kauai Ballroom with cocktails at 5:00pm and dinner, entertainment and dancing to follow. Masters of Ceremony for the evening are Howard Dashefsky of KHNL and Ron Mizutani, formerly of KHON, a dynamic duo of television newscasters. Throughout the evening guests will be interviewed by Dickie Chang of Wala’au.

Big Band dance music will be provided by Daniel Hamada and the Starlighters and recorded music will be provided by Michael Dandurand.

Silent Auction and Sweepstakes, sponsored by King Auto and Dr. Richard Goodale will be featured again for Gala attendees to bid on luxurious get-away packages, works of art, jewelry, gourmet baskets, plants, services and much more, with a grand prize sweepstakes drawing of a fabulous trip for 2 to wonderful resort.

The highlight of the evening will be the “Dancing with the Stars” dance contest with the winning dance couple being awarded their trophy and prize. The dance competition couples are:

• Roy Tamashiro and Dr. Catherine Shin (orthopedic surgeon at KMC)
  
• Tony Romo and Dr. Amy Hutson (E R doctor at Wilcox Hospital)
  
• Jeanette Bonilla and Dr. Doug Duvauchelle (Internist at the Vet Center)
  
• Larry Richelli and Dr. Emelia Williams (independent general surgeon)
  
• Ellen Kitabayashi and Dr. New Sang (pediatritian at KMC)
  
• Glenda Tamashiro and Dr. Niraj Desai (Independent nephrologist)
  
• Marsha Bradley and Dr. James McGreevy (general surgeon at KMC)
  
• Susie Ayers and Dr. Chris Jordan (general surgeon at KMC and chief of staff at Wilcox Hospital)
  
• Jessi Jardin and Dr. Richard Goodale (general practitioner at KMC in Kapaa).

All proceeds from the Gala Benefit will go towards the new Women’s Center at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, a project that will provide women with the services they need in a private, serene environment that is easily accessed from the hospital lobby.

Tickets may be purchased by calling the Wilcox Health Foundation office at 245-1198. Tickets start at $100 each. Tables may be purchased starting at $1000, seating 10 people. Sponsor tables are available from $3000 - $7500.
