Wilcox Memorial Hospital’s first baby born in 2009
01/05/09
Wilcox Memorial Hospital may not have seen the first baby of 2009 on the 1st, but they certainly did on the 2nd. Proud parents Kyle and Chayna Kapahu of Lihue welcomed their baby girl Kynani Kawailani Keliihoomalu Kapahu on 1/2/09 at 8:58 am, weighing in at 7 lbs and 10.3 ounces, totaling 19.5 inches in length. As the first baby born at Wilcox Hospital in 2009, the parents were given a baby gift basket valued at over $100; including a car seat, laundry basket, Dreft laundry detergent, diapers, wipes, a pack of burp clothes, pack of onesies, and a donated diaper cake and handmade blanket. A $100 savings bond was given in Kynani’s name on behalf of the Wilcox Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
