Wilcox Health Foundation...advancing health care on Kauai
Healthcare founded on philanthropy...
G.N. Wilcox, for whom Wilcox Memorial Hospital was named, was known for his generous philanthropic spirit. His philosophy was "The more I give away, the richer I get." In addition to the many financial contributions he made while he was alive, G.N. established a trust fund "to carry on or assist in any kind of public, charitable, educational, or religious work, and for the aid and advancement of the public health and morals." And so, Wilcox Health was founded on philanthropy. His nieces, Elsie and Mabel, along with their brother Gaylord founded the hospital with funds from the G.N. Wilcox Trust and contributions from the community. There are four Wilcox Trusts, G.N., S.W., Mabel, and Elsie, which continue to support the hospital's capital needs and programs.

We need your support!
Because of rising medical costs nationwide the Wilcox trusts are not enough to continue to support the delivery of exceptional healthcare for residents and visitors. Without donor support, healthcare organizations such as Wilcox Health cannot fund vital capital improvements and technology upgrades. At Wilcox Health our boards, administration and staff strive to meet these challenges everyday and we rely on philanthropic support to make these advances possible.
You can ensure the future of a healthy Kauai through gifts to the Wilcox Health Foundation. There are many ways to contribute to the quality of our care on Kauai and every donation makes a difference. These gifts will be applied to a program of your choice or you may designate it to go "where the need is greatest." Funds raised are allocated for a variety of projects, such as new equipment, renovations, new facilities, programs and services, scholarships or other items specified by the donors.
Our annual supporters — Imua and Kokua Clubs — are the bedrock of our foundation and represent a diverse community of private individuals, families and companies that make improvements possible on an ongoing basis.
