Volunteering at Wilcox Memorial Hospital

When it comes to healthcare on Kauai, people make all the difference. The Wilcox Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is dedicated to supporting the hospital and the community it serves through volunteerism and fundraising activities. Since 1972, the Wilcox Memorial Hospital Auxiliary has raised more than $2 million for the purchase of medical equipment and other items to enhance patient care. The million-dollar mark was reached in 2008. More than 125 men and women currently volunteer their time to serve on the auxiliary.

How to feel better even if you’re not sick

Volunteers have given more than 21,000 total hours of service in the past year to the patients and staff of Wilcox Memorial Hospital through a variety of assignments, including assisting visitors at the information desk, taking baby pictures and helping staff in various areas and departments. We welcome volunteers of all ages and professions who are committed to contributing to our community. Our volunteers include residents, students, retirees, parents and even our annual visitors fondly known as "snowbirds."
