How to feel better even if you're not sick.

When it comes to healthcare on Kauai, people make all the difference. The Wilcox Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is dedicated to supporting the hospital and the community it serves through volunteerism and fundraising activities. Since 1972, the Wilcox Memorial Hospital Auxiliary has raised more than $1 million for the purchase of medical equipment and other items to enhance patient care. The million-dollar mark was reached in early 2001. More than 125 men and women currently volunteer their time to serve on the auxiliary.

Volunteering at Wilcox Memorial Hospital

Volunteers have given more than 21,000 total hours of service in the past year to the patients and staff of Wilcox Memorial Hospital through a variety of assignments, including assisting visitors at the information desk, taking baby pictures and helping staff in various areas and departments. We welcome volunteers of all ages and professions who are committed to contributing to our community. Our volunteers include residents, students, retirees, parents and even our annual visitors fondly known as "snowbirds."

Grassroots Fundraising

Wilcox Memorial Hospital Auxiliary members help with grassroots fundraising. Whether it's donating their time a few days a year baking cookies for a mini bazaar or bake sale, or working a scheduled shift in the gift shop or thrift shop, the auxiliary volunteers play an important role in keeping our community healthy.
